Why do I need a root canal?
Teeth with deep cracks, old fillings, or internal decay often require root canal therapy. Root canal therapy involves removing the bacteria, cleaning the canals, and filling them with a rubberized, inert substance.
How long will root canal therapy take?
In most cases, the procedure can be performed in a single visit to our Miami Beach dental office. However, we will need to see you back in our office to place a dental crown over the treated tooth. The crown strengthens the tooth and helps prevent re-infection. After root canal therapy and crown placement, the treated tooth can last you a lifetime.
